5 Surprising Ways I Use Castor Oil—And Why You Might Want to Try Them Too
It’s Kim here—and if you’ve been hanging out on my blog or Pinterest, you already know I love talking about castor oil. I call it “Nature’s Little Secret in a Bottle.” And believe me, it’s so much more than a hair or skin oil.
I first got hooked thanks to some amazing women like Barbara O’Neill (if you know, you know) and a few deep YouTube rabbit holes. Since then, I’ve tested all kinds of ways to use castor oil—and I’m sharing the creative, think-outside-the-bottle tips with you today!
And yes, this is the same castor oil I use and love—and you can grab it right here on Amazon 👉 Shop Now.
1. DIY Neck Firming Wrap (My Favorite Hack!)
Okay, real talk—after I lost weight, my neck started showing little signs of “graceful aging.” Aka, wrinkles! 😩
So I started doing castor oil neck wraps. I apply a thin layer of warm castor oil, cover it with a soft cloth or wrap, and let it soak while I sip tea or journal. My neck looks so much smoother, and it's become my self-care ritual.

2. Tummy Rub for Digestion & Bloating Relief
This is an old-school remedy—and it works! When I feel bloated or sluggish, I rub a little warm castor oil over my belly, cover it with a flannel cloth, and lay down with a heating pad. Within 20-30 minutes, I feel lighter and more relaxed.
(Also… castor oil and constipation? One tablespoon. That’s all I’ll say. You’re welcome!)
3. Under-Eye & Lash Nourisher
I’m always looking for affordable beauty that actually works. I dab a little castor oil under my eyes at night and also swipe it over my lashes like mascara (with a clean spoolie). Over time, I noticed my lashes got fuller and my under-eyes looked way more rested. Pro tip: It also works on eyebrows if yours are thinning.
4. Heel & Elbow Softener
Let’s be real—dry heels and elbows are not cute. I rub a tiny bit of castor oil on rough spots before bed and put on socks or long sleeves. In the morning? Baby soft. No fancy cream needed.
Bonus: It also helps with calluses or cracked skin.
DIY Glow Booster in Your Skincare Routine
Some days, I mix a drop of castor oil into my facial moisturizer for extra glow. It’s rich in ricinoleic acid, which is anti-inflammatory and healing—great if you’re dealing with acne, dryness, or just need a little moisture magic.
💗 Tip: A little goes a long way!
Why Castor Oil Deserves a Spot in Your Cabinet
I’m convinced every woman should have a bottle of castor oil in her beauty & wellness stash. It’s affordable, natural, and multi-use magic—from your lashes to your liver (yes, liver packs are a whole thing too).
