Okay y’all… this question started a REAL debate 😂
If someone drives you to work every single day, are you obligated to chip in for gas?
Some people say absolutely yes because gas is expensive, wear and tear on a car adds up, and it’s just the respectful thing to do. Others feel that if the person offered the ride and never asked for money, then it shouldn’t automatically become an obligation.
But then the conversation gets even deeper…
What if they’re already going that way anyway?
What if they never mention gas money?
What if it becomes an everyday routine for months?
See? This is why I asked the question 😂
The responses have been all over the place. Some people said they would never ride with someone repeatedly without offering something. Others said friendship shouldn’t feel transactional.
Honestly, I think this is one of those situations where everybody sees it differently based on how they were raised, their finances, and how close they are to the person.
One thing is for sure though — people definitely have opinions on this one 👀
So now I want to ask YOU:
If someone drives you to work every day… are you obligated to chip in for gas or not?
